Celebrex Testimonials:

Celebrex works for me and my increasing ease of mobility. Still, I like a mad woman in the itching hands and bottom of my toes. I bite them, itch so much. I have a few places where I literally rubbed off the skin on your hands! It also helps with my hip arthritis. Other than side effects, it is a good medicine, but God knows what makes my heart or liver.

Testimonials:

I am able to walk every day, when I use Celebrex. My recent change in skin irritation on my hands, I is the adoption of this assessment. I'll have to look into it. But beyond that which could have no relationship, I am very satisfied with Celebrex. I tried, and others had the same results as I am with Celebrex ..

Drug Name

Celebrex (Celecoxib)
Drug Uses

Celecoxib is used for relief of pain, fever, swelling, and tenderness caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Celecoxib does not prevent the progression or the type of arthritis. It reduces only the symptoms and signs of arthritis. Celecoxib was approved for patients with FAP family who had their colons removed. Celebrex and is approved for relief of acute pain and pain menstrual cramps (primary dysmenorrhea).

How to use

The lowest effective dose should be used for each patient. To manage osteoarthritis, the dose usually is 100 mg twice daily or 200 mg in a single dose. For rheumatoid arthritis, the dose is usually 100 or 200 mg twice a day. For acute pain or menstrual cramps, the dose is 400 mg in a single dose on the first day, followed by an additional 200 mg if needed, and then 200 mg twice daily as needed. For FAP, the recommended dose is 400 mg twice a day.

Drug Class and mechanism

celebrex.com
Celecoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used to treat arthritis, pain, menstrual cramps, and Colonic polyps. Prostaglandins are chemicals that are an important contribution to the inflammation of arthritis that causes pain, fever, swelling and tenderness. Celecoxib blocks the enzyme that makes prostaglandins (cyclooxygenase 2), resulting in lower concentrations of prostaglandins. As a result, reduces the inflammation and accompanying pain, fever, swelling and tenderness. Celecoxib differs from other NSAIDs in that it causes less inflammation and ulceration of the stomach and intestine (at least in the short term treatment) and does not interfere with blood clotting. NSAIDs have been found to prevent formation and reduce the size of polyps in patients with genetic diseases, familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). In FAP, patients develop numerous polyps in the colon, polyps and always become malignant. Only treatment of FAP requires removal of the entire colon. Celecoxib has been approved as adjunctive (secondary) treatment in patients with FAP. Cramping and pain during menstruation is due to prostaglandins, and blocking production of prostaglandins with celecoxib reduces the cramps and pain.
